I Many housewives are apt to look on Ovaltine as a beverage pure anj sim-| 'pie, forgetting that it can be used in other ways. For instance, a very good fudge re- • cipe is:— Take 21b brown sugar, 4oz. I butter,, 7} pint water, 4 level tablespoons Ovaltine. Boil sugar and water tcgcther for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the Imtter. and boil for two or three minutes until it starts | to thicken. Then add Ovaltine (stir- i ring lightly) just before pouring into 1 a buttered dish. A s it cool s cut into > squares with a knife. The squares should then be wrapped I in paper and stored in a tin • with a g'.od lid an 4 kept in a cool j place. It makes a delightful gift for lan invalid - at the “ getting-rapidly-bet-i r ” stage.
