REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) REUFTON, December 15. A son of Mrs. W. H. Thompson, of the Terrace was taken to the hospital on Saturday, seriously ill. The lad has been particularly unfortunate-, having suffered from several illnesses though he is but f! fteen years of age. All will be pleased to hear of his ear-y recovery. Reoftou was visited on Saturday afternoon by one of the heaviest showers of rain that has fallen for a considerable time. In a few minutes the gutters were flooded to the top of the kerbiug and tin* water tables were quite ‘ nadequate to hold the flood 1 . ’Hie rainfall, however, did not continue violently for any length of time, a:id the downpour gradually lessened. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, and the vegetation looked alj the fresher and belt* r for the ruin.
