I loss of a couple of fingers off the llcft hand. The accident occurred | jU v t before knocking; off work yesteri day afternoon. He was chopping a 1 smiall piece of wood, when the axe I met an obstruction, deflecting it with the result that his fingers wore cut. The sufferer came into Reefto n for medical attention. He wll be unable to resume work for some time. Tiic young son of Mr atid Mrs IL Lockington of Wuitahu, sustained an injury to his hetad last night, he being 'struck with a cricket ball. He way brought into Reefton. for medical attention, and some st.tc.hes put into the wound. , A silting of the Arbitration Court I will be held tomorrow afternoon at l 2.15 o’clock. There is only one case 1 o be heard!.
