Mr G. Scott leaves to-day un a visit to Wellington. Mr R. Ni'ol leaves by this morn ing’s express, en route to Wellington. Mr R. Champtaloup, touring secretary of the Automobile Association, is ou a visit to Greymouth. Mr and Mrs A. .Parfitt, return to Timaru to-day. utter a visit to Greymouth. Mr Justice Adams arrives by today’s express, and proceeds to Hokitika by car. Air R. O’Halloran, of the local staff of the Bank of New Zealand, leaves on Saturday on transfer to Mastertoll. Mr R. Nicholls, who has been ou an extended visit to Greymouth, leaves for Wellington to-day. Mr and Airs I*. Simmonds return to Christchurch by to-day’s express, after a visit to relatives to Greymouth. Wood, Inspecting Engineer of thew olic Works Department, returns to-day to Wellington, after a visit to Greymouth. Miss Aldridge, of Hastings, who has been on a short visit to Mr and Mrs J. Al <• Sherry, Blackmore Street, leaves on return by this morning’s express. At a meeting of the West Coast Old Boys’ Association, regret was expressed at the illness of Mr G. Perotti, and members generally wished him a speedy return to health. Air C. Sundbye, who was a member of the engineering staff of the illfated Tahiti, returns to Greymouth today on a visit to his mother, Airs A. Sundbye, Tainui Street.

A Dunedin press wire states that Air Alexander Bathgate, a very old resident of Otago, and one of the oldest and best known members of the legal profession, died on Tuesday night at the age of 85 years. Deceased is survived by one son, two married daughone single daughter (Dr. Winiithgatc).

The wedding of Norah, second daughter of Air and Mrs E. B. Alabin, formerly of Grey mouth and now of Nelson, and Hedley, only son of Air and Mrs Edwin Harris, of Nelson, was celebrated at the Cathedral, Nelson, the 3rd inst The girl friends of the bride tastefully decorated the Cathedral with spring flowers and greenery. The ceremony was performed by the Dean of Nelson, Rev. Askew. After the ceremony ii reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, the Bank of New South Wales. The funeral of the late Air Philip Stewart took place yesterday afternoon, the cortege to Karoro Cemetery, being a large and representative one. The services at the graveside were conducted by Rev.
