It is believed that the purpose of Kiangkaishek’s visit to Canton is an endeavour to restore peace, following further movements on the part of Chang Fahkuei, whose forces were not so completely exterminated as was officially stated, and several swift attacks have thrown the Government troops under Chengchitung into a precarious position.
