CABINET TURNS MINERS’ OFFER DOWN. SYDNEY, May 1. Aft* sitting throughout the day the State Cabinet decided it could not accept the latest proposals for a settlement of the coal mining dispute put forward by the conference of mining unions. STATE GOVERNMENT. THROWS UP THE SPONGE. SYDNEY, May 1. The acting Prime Minister. Mr Buttenshaw, announced that the Government emphatically refuse to make any other proposals for the settlement of the coal dispute.
