Sixty new books have been added to the shelves of the library. Names are being taken for crib domino and draught tournaments, to be played in the Games Room at W-allseud. A very active Committee are at present looking to form a bazaar in aid of Taylorville Domain. A Christmas pudding made and given by Mr Tom Morgan is to be a prize. A concert here by the Maori Mission

Bennett “will take the place of Mr J. Davidson, who did not seek reelection. Messrs Mclvor and Rothera were re-elected as chairman and secretary respectively. Tn a characteristic speech Mr Hunt Senr. welcomed the guests. Toast after toast was proposed, amongst which was "The Local John, Mr J. Rodgers.” Now doesn’t that prove we are all law-abiding citizens? After having done our best to live up to the "Eat, drink nnd be merry” idea, we left for home, wishing Harry manymany happy returns of the day.
