CROQUET
MAKURA CLUB. On April 24th, the usual croquet competition was held and resulted in a win for Mesdames McQueen and Whibley. The final match in the Whibley trophy was fought between Mesdames Scott and Hannan. After a well-con-tested game Mrs Scott proved the winner. The closing of the season will take place to-morrow (Tuesday), members being reminded that there will be target, golf croquet and putting competitions; also that the afternoon tea will bo general.
