CAMPBELL’S HOPES Does 211 M.P.H. in Trial CAPE TOWN, April 16. Campbell, in a one-way trial at six in the evening, was officially timed to travel at the rate of two hundred and ten miles'. A bump caused the car to jump thirty fee: before regaining the track. It is expected that the test will be made to-morrow. (Received April 21 at 5.5 p.m.) CAPETOWN, April 20. Wind debarr ti Malcolm Campbell from, making an attack on the world speed test this morning. Campbell is jubilant over his experience on a trial he mad,: on the Verneuk Pan. While he was officially timed to do 210 miles per hour, Campbell lor a few seconds recorded 215 miles an hour. He said: “And this is tin first time that I have been at the wheel since the “Bluebird’’ Ifft Daytona. 1 am; perfectly satisfied with the track. The car went beautifully, i pulled up at th:‘ eighth mile, because I was satisfied.
