Har-ley-Davidson, covered a dying mile in 44 4-5 seconds. This is a world s record. C. Goodwin, on a 2] h.p. Royal Enfield. established a world’s record for middle-weight machines by covering a dying mile in 47 3-5 seconds. K. Kanby, on a 3$ h.p. Indian, covered a dying mile in 46 4-5 seconds, a New Zealand record.

A raee of three miles between an aeroplane, piloted by Lieut lan Keith, and a motor cycle ridden by Coleman, proved disappointing.
