REEFTON NOTES.

(From Our Correspondent.) REEFTON, February 12 Mr and Mrs D. Heslop, of Oneliunga, who have been epi tiding a .short holiday h.-re, left for Hokitika by private ear yesterday on route to the Glaciers. Mr S. Austin, Jur., who has been cn :a shorty holiday visit to relatives in Roi.fton left on return to Westport today. Mrs S. Barkie and son, of Progress Junction, who have been on a. holiday visit to Christchurch, have returned to Reefton.

Master J. Blackmore, who has been spending the'Xmas V’acatioii with his parents, Ift on return to St. Belle’s College by this morning’s Christchurch express. Mr H. Grossweil, of Christchurch, is at present visiting Rccfton.

CRICKET. The Waiuta—Reefton cricket match took place on the Rcexjou Rad course on Sunday and resulted in a one innings victory tor Reefton. A feature of the game was the small scorin'# or. Waiuta, unlj one hit for four being made in both tunings. Blom was in fine form with til.- ball ami in the first innings took seven wickets for 13 runs and in till second seven for 14 ,and iof his 15 overs, five were maidens. The fielding of the Reefton team in Waiuta’s a.lcond innings was particularly gevod, not one chance being missed, thus the benefit of nightly practice is easily seen. The scores
