Captain George Bolt, and Captain Stedman, c-f Wellington, arrived at "Napier on Saturday in an AvroAvian plane, 'after a two and a-half hours’ trip from Wellington. On Friday, they flew from Christchurch to Wellington in three* and three-quarter hours in a howling gale. The weather was so bad that the airmen were fearful they yould not reach Wellington, and turned back but gave it another go, and landed safely at Lyall Bay.
