THE CABINET.

Important Meeting. WELLINGTON, Jan. 14. All the Ministers of the Crown wiU be in Wellington on Thursday morning, in order to be prea nt at the first meeting of the Cabinet for ovlJr three weeks. The last meeting was held a few days before Xmas, and since that time much work has been piling up. In addition to a mass of routine matters, there are several important questions to be dealt with, and it is not considered that it will be possible to finalise everything at one sitting. It is thought likely that the meeting* will be continued on Friday.
