IN DROUGHT-STRICKEN AREAS. GOVERNMENT URGED TO SUCCOUR THEM. MELBOURNE, December 13. Mr Gill, a member of the Anthropological Society, declares that the icarcity of water following the proonged" drought is responsible for hunIreds of aborigines dying in northern, ind central Australia. The Federal government should afford sjuccour by taking the natives to permanent water lupp'.ies for a time, and distributing lour provisions.
