N.S.W. SAVINGS BANK.
Palatial New Building. SYDNEY, December 13. The new Government Savings Bank n Sydney, with frontages to three nain thoroughfares, costing a million md a half sterling, was officially open'd to-day by the Premier, Mr Bavin, n the presence of a thousand represenative men and women. M r Bavin described the Bank as the ■econd largest savings bank in the Bri:ish Empire, with deposits of seventy Millions sterling. The material used in its construeion is largely polished granite. The interior of the banking chamber is nost beautiful, besides being one of ;hc largest in the world.
