Several of the. .arses which competed at Takapuna, • ist Saturday are engaged, and the elds have filled sufficiently well to rake the racing inter/sting. Taringamotu Hack Handicap, six urlongs.—F.othb'ower 9 0, Cybele 8.3, lakanoa, Exalted, Abbey Queen, Parvial Eclipse 7.13. Flitter 7.10, Kaihore nai, Ossian, Swift Light, Taumai 7.0. Frcthblower will carry No 1 saddl? doth in the {Tar Inga mot u Handicap and after his third in the Vauxhall Handicap last Saturday may be hard to dispose of in this event. Cybele is a promising sort, and should also run a good race. Taumarunui Cup, 1} miles.—Siaosi 9.0, Shining Armour 8.10, Boomerday, Alonsoa, Arikitoa. 7.8, To Koroke 7.3, Bright Day, Glenstar 7.0. The Cup attracted only eight acceptors, and the prospects of Shining Armour and Te Koroke will not Tie passed over.

Matapuna Hack Handicap, five furlongs.—Takutama 9.6, Oscar 8.4, Partial Eclipse, Lady Cynic, Abbey Queen, Exalted 7.12, Rose Arch, Arcade, Joy Germ 7.4, Ossian, Mint Bell, Furore, Unice, Merry Light, Taumai 7 0.

A good sized field will go to the post for the Matapuna Handicap, and quick beginners like Exalted ami Abbey Queen may lead the field home. Manunui Hurdles, H miles.—Highflown, Gold Rain 10.7, Terrapcen, Tinopono 9.4, Master Lu, Cloud Bank, Kaihoremai, Soami 9.0. Highflower and Gobi Rain appear the best of those engaged in the Manunui Hurldes.

A small field will contest the Mathre Handicap, and if started here .Highflown should provide most opposition for Flitter. Takutama and New Moon will be :upported for the Rangaroa Handicap. TROTTING. WAIKATO T.C. TO-DAY. The Waikato Trotting Club’s summer meeting will be held to-day. The classes engaged are moder:.tely good, with fairly well-filled fields-, the com petition should be keen. A few suggestions are here given. Frankton Handicap.. one and a half miles — Bonanza, Bonny Bingen. Chrystal, Profiteer, Moko Chief, Mountain Dell, Roylette, Nella Dillon, Oliver Thorpe, Vanity Boy. Zealous, Regret, Single Mint.. A large field will face the starter s or the Frankton Handicap. Vanity Boy, off the end. can go fast, and together with Rolfe Audubon may be ‘apable of making the going fast.

The Mark Memorial Handicap has attracted twelve acceptors, and two which look likely are Uncle Bert and The Abbey.

Claudelands Handicap. 2 miles — Alice Axworthy, Warspite.. Medusa. Maid of the Mountains, Nelson Dillon. Moko Chief, Lady Barrington, Dad’s Hope, Explosion. Childe Audubon, Andover scr, Cornelian 12, Ribbonwoods Last 48.

The Claudelands Handicap has a fair sized field, and contains a number of promising performers, the best of which may be Maid of the Mountains and RibVon.wood’s Last.

Hamilton Handicap, two miles:— Direct Action. Anseline, Sebisca, Flora line, Gold Sovereign scr., Whnmera King .12, Raima, Peter McKinney 48. Mutu, Tradesman 72. Rose Bingen 120. Eleven will probably face the starter in the Hamilton Handicap and two which appear well placed are Anseliuc and .3?radesman.

Stewards’ Handicap., one mile—Pit aroa, Nelson McCormack, Cornelian Bingen King scr. Uncle Bert, Mastei Huia, Hal Chimes 12. Lord Nepian Daytime, Anselm, Gold Dial 24, Stan moor 36. Joy Bird 48.

The Stewards’ Handicap has a nice field, and Lord Nepean off 24, and Daytime off the .same mark, should provide an interesting race.
