The Claudelands Handicap has a fair sized field, and contains a number of promising performers, the best of which may be Maid of the Mountains and RibVon.wood’s Last.

Hamilton Handicap, two miles:— Direct Action. Anseline, Sebisca, Flora line, Gold Sovereign scr., Whnmera King .12, Raima, Peter McKinney 48. Mutu, Tradesman 72. Rose Bingen 120. Eleven will probably face the starter in the Hamilton Handicap and two which appear well placed are Anseliuc and .3?radesman.

Stewards’ Handicap., one mile—Pit aroa, Nelson McCormack, Cornelian Bingen King scr. Uncle Bert, Mastei Huia, Hal Chimes 12. Lord Nepian Daytime, Anselm, Gold Dial 24, Stan moor 36. Joy Bird 48.

The Stewards’ Handicap has a nice field, and Lord Nepean off 24, and Daytime off the .same mark, should provide an interesting race.
