Shop Destroyed. STACK OT TIMBER BLOWN SYDNEY, December ». An acetyll ne tank exploded, with a terrific roar, in the suburb of N<w town, destroying a two storey ah op. Pieces of the cylinder were blown through the walls of adjoining preui ises. A, large stack of timber was blown up, and pii’ces thrown hundreds of yards away. Houses within a radius of a mile were shaken. There was no one on the premises, but many people had narrow escapes. The fire brigad. quickly extinguished the fire which broke out. The premises are those oi D. Reid and Sons, plumbers. .
