Those reaching 25 unmarried arc entitled to a lace bonnet. The yotxnger ones of the order, not to be outdone, wear charming fancy dres.?. The more important houses give the gir"b champagne cakes and a dance. The more unfortunate employees take amusement on the boulevards, walking a-.m in arm, singing and reaping a full share of admiration.
The police decision is regarded as a concession to anxious mammas, some of ’whom have complained of the free and easy manner in which youths and maidens play “catch as catch can,” a which inevitably ends in a stolen kiss, which is promptly returned.
