In these modern times, when almost everybody has a car, and those who haven’t one are going to get one, it is not surprising tha" there should be a quest for a better means of keeping up the appearance of the vehicles. The old method of applying paint and varnish has caused •dissatisfaction with many from the owners of the* lordly Rolls-Royce ‘ype to the humble ami serviceable Ford. In consequence of this, various experiments have been made to find a better way. and as a result the wonderful Duco process has been evolved. Duco was not on the market long before its value was appreciated. and in the ci'ies it gave a fatal knock-out to the old system of the brush. For full particulars of this wonderful new method of painting and varnishing consult ‘hr Dispatch Boundary. G reymout h. November in the eyes of most New Zealanders, signifies the greatest racing month of the year; for is it not then that the N.Z. Cup and the N.Z. Trotting Cup eventuate. Already punters are selecting the “double” winners, and keen controversy exists as to the merits of the horses engaged. It is only natural, of course, that opinion should be divided as to the ultimate winners: and when the handicap per has done his work well, the selec- ' tion is still harder. On the day the public will make certain horses the i favourites, mostly on account of their < previous performances. And what 1 better indication could be followed, i Speaking of favourites, there is one i favourite that has retained its position ; for many years all on account of its. j previous performances. No need to t ask what it is. It is Dewar’s Imper- f ml Whisky. the Public Favourite, j which by virtue of its consistent ex- < cellency, has made a reputation unsur- ; passed by any other spirit. Griffen j and Smith are the West Coast agents j and Dewar’s Imperial may also be ob- t tained from the firm’s Westport t branch. —Advt. f
