BAND CONTEST.

WEST COAST ENTRIES. (Per Press Association). WANGANUI. November 5. That the New Zealand Band Contest Executive were wise in getting the Crvstal Palace Judge. T. J. Reid, of Wales, to adjudicate the contest to be held at Wanganui in February next, and Mr J. Trussell (Queensland) 'as oio judge, is demonstrated by the excellent entries received, no fewer than 27 bands having entered in A and B Gr;it/ s. The former carries 12 entries of the best bands in th P Dominion, an I B Grades 15. It is believed that this constitutes a record. Solo entries to hand are also exceptionally large. A feature of the entries is that two bands arp coming from Granity and G reymout h.
