LONDON RESULTS. LABOUR'S GREAT SUCCESS. LONDON, November 2. In the Municipal elections for Eng ’and and Wales, tho latest results arc as follows:— LONDON.

IN THE PROVINCES. The Jate-t. provincial results are:—

One feature of the elections is the rejection of the Communists. Only 27 votes were recorded for the Communist candidate at Bradford. 32 at Blackburn, and 110 at Wolverhampton. The Socialist gains are mostly irr the industrial centres. The biggest Labour success was in Liverpool, where there have been 11 gains. The. Labourites have secured control of only one Council, that of Swindon. Mr Corbey. the Labour Mayor of Salford, who refused to wear a top hat in his year of olli'P. or to attend church the Mayor’s Sunday, was defeated by a hundred votes. There were six Unemployeds’ candidates for Southwark. They secured onlv a total of 252 votes.
