The Wellington correspondent of the Manchester Guardian lias some comment to make regarding the New Zealand Prime Minister, in view of the approaching General Election. “The Coates Government (says the correspondent), which was returned in 1925 with 56 pledged supporters, the strongest party numerically behind any Prime Minister since the -lays of Richard Seddon,. has not justified the expectations formed of its leader, and the best that even the " staunchest friends of Reform anticipate as the result of the approaching contest is a ‘substantial’ majority' for the party.”
