ENGLISH RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS.
The English Rugby League footballers touring New Zealand receive £1 a week while on sea and £2 a week while on land according to the team manager, Air E. Osborne. In addition t o thia the men have their expenses paid while on tour. In the event of the tour proving a tinancial success the players will be allotted a bonus. Discussing payment in general. Air Osborne stated that most of the senior grade men in the Northern League in England were paid; not weekly, but for each time they were in a match. During th e week the men followed their ordinary occupations and there was no payment for the summer
