Many treasured flags of native tribes were prominently dispaved, and Maoris were present in full foice, taking a part in the general rejoicing. A ri’-bon was cut ly Mrs MacMillan, wife of the meml>”r for the district, and the Prime Miniver was accorded a warm welcome, both by pakeha> and Maoris.
