NICARAGUAN CANAL
PROPOSED IN U.S.A. ( Ib'ceix ed March 28 al 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON. March 28. Senator Mu Kellar has introduced a bill in Congress for the immediate construction of a Nicaraguan canal to parallel the Panama Canal, and to be financed by the is-ue of two hundred million dollars worth of thirty-year three per cent. Government bonds, lie said .that a Nicaraguan canal would be a paving investment, and would restore American prestige in Nicaragua by turning the bandits into labourers, lie asked for a ten million dollars ap propriation for a survey.
