LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
M. 8.0.8. MEETING. There was a large ami enthusiastic meeting of the Marist Brothers Old Boys’ League Football Club yesterday! at the St Columba Club Rooms. Many now members were enlisted, and indications point to the fact that the Club will have a very successful season. Th? election of officers for the following year resulted:—Patron, Rev Fr Holohon; President, Mr W. Gicseking; Secretary. Mr V. Meates; Treasurer, Mr B. Dunn; Delegates to Contres Messrs J. O’Brien, L. Jackson; Club* Captain. Hr P. Doogan; Field Captain. Mr (Robins; Auditor, Mr M. Kent ing. It was agreed that on Sunday next a benefit match for the dependants of the late Mr J. Shannahan bo played, against Grey, at Cobden, and that later a match against Runanga be played for the dependants of the late Mr D. Posit was decided that training operations commen’c * as soon as possible.
