A “SUPER GOVERNMENT”

Borah’s Questionnaire

PROHIBITION ISSUE THE THE PRESIDENCY. WASHINGTON, February 27. Borah, who has been persistently questioning aspirants for Republican presidential nomination, and has forwarded a prohibition questionare to Senator Lowden has now in turn himself, been questioned by a citizen of Ohio.

The latter demanded to know whether the Senator favours <f a super government” by dry groups.

Senator Borah replied that he opposed a super government by the anti-saloon league, Methodists’ Board of Temperance and morals, the Ku Klux Klan o by any church on any group which intends to create a super government.

The persistency of Senator Borah is hardly likely to drive the prohibition issue out into the open politically, but his efforts are considered interesting.
