Th? grounds were artistically decorated with flags and streamers, presenting quite a pleasant scene. Th? goods displayed met with a ready sale, the home industries and produce section being sold out early in the evening. The Inangahua Silver Band was in attendance, and rendered various selections, which were well received. A number of comedy items, violin solos and songs, etc. were also very pleasing. Mr Walsteben’s wireless was installed for the occasion, and a number of New Zealand stations ami Australia, were heard to advantage in the tea rooms. The bush fires spread to the neighbourhood of Mr 11. Ewan’s property at Boot mans Shoot Track on Wednesday evening, and the house was in grave danger for a considerable period. The fire, however, subsided somewhat, and the wind lessened during the night, no further damage being recorded.
