INTERESTING QUERIES.

In the Commons, Mr Baldwin, when questioned, said tho Government did not propose to appoint a Royal Commission to consider the possibility of practical co-operation between competing State-owner wireless systems and cables.
Mr C. Hacking informed a questioner that he was aware some authorities feared a prospective world shortage of tin. He was following closely discussions ro the possibility of stabilising prices, and did not think a scientific inquiry by the Government into the possibility of conserving the Empire’s tin resources at present advantageous. Mr W. Ormsby-Gore, in answer to a question, said the convention between the Turkish Petroleum Coy and the Government of Iraq provided that the company must continue to be registered in Britain and have its chief place of business within the Empire, with a chairman of British nationality.
