FORBURY PARK MEETINC

DUNEDIN, November 26.

The Forbury Park Spring Meeting was concluded to-day in dull but fine weather. There was again a large attendance, and the course was in good order. The tote handled £31,4941 for the day compared with £26,9001 for the second day last year, making a total for the meeting of £52,5101, compared with £43,5661 last year. Results: —■

Suburban Handicap, 1 mile and 5 furlongs.—2 D. Teahen’s LEN WOOD (El Carbine—Satinwood mare) 36yds (Owner) 1; 10 C. 11. Breeze’s Nelson McKinney 144 (Rf. Townley) 2; 2 S. G. Carling’s Hawkesbury’s Pride 24 (Owner) 3. Hawkesbury’s Pride made the early running from Genevieve and Dolores, while seven of the runners broke up. The winner was always handy and entered the straight with a good lead, passing the post four lengths ahead of Pointalena, who got up to beat Robert Bell by a length and a-half.
