IRON WORKS CLOSING.
SYDNEY, Novmber 24. Owing to overseas competition and high cost of production. Lysaghts galvanised iron works at Newcastle are closing next month. It is one of Newcastle. principal secondary industries, and following the drastic curtailment of operations at the stc°l works, will add considerably to the industrial depression in northern districts.
