OTAGO A. AND P. SHOW. DUNEDIN, Nov. 24. The Otago ‘A. and P. Society’s Summer Show was concluded to-day, in pouring rain. The gate receipts were £73, in place of the usual £6OO. The working horses and light horse classes only were judged. The champion haskney was Miss Isobcl Rutherford’s Perfection, and the champion harness horse was Miss Violet, Mr M. H. N irhol - entry. Tn tho cab and pony section, the champion pony and champion saddle horse was Mr T. R. Rhode’s Va ndudie. LONDON MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd. Greymouth, received the following cable from their London office dated 25, November 1927: —

London Wool Sales opened with good general competition, good selection, and a large attendance of buyers, as compared with closing rates of last series. Merino par to 5 per cent, higher. Prices were five per cent in advance on the previous ruling rates. LONDON, November 23. The wool sales are postponed, owing to fog. GISBORNE, November 22. The Taranaki Oilfields, Ltd., have issued the following report for tho week ending November 19:—Waiapu No 2 well, depth 2595 feet, in grey shale 8} inches, diameter leading to 2576 feet; Gisborne No 1 well, depth 1500 feet, in sandy shale, cemented, 10 inch diameter casing at 1500 feet. SYDNEY, November 23. At the wool sales, competition was well sustained, and prices were fully equal to the best of the week. Greasy Merino touched 31 pence. ARAHURA STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Coy report: A special sale of store cattle was held at our Arahura yards on Wednesday, when 155 head of cattle were yarded. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was keen for all lines, with the result that excellent prices were recorded, and a total clearance made.
