IRELAND’S ATHLETES.

RUINED BY JAZZ. Jazz is said to be ruining athletes in Ireland. The County Dublin Board of the National Athletic and' Cycling Associations now intend to put an end to jazz by withdrawing its chief attraction. That is to say, they are trying to prevent the of girls at dance halls. Their method is to provide them with special facilities for tennis and hockey.

If ther are no girls present at dances, the Association reckon that men will return to their old allegiance. “Jazzing has become a mental disease,” says Mr Finlay, of the Association. “Before long, many of our ath letes will be found in madhouses, ‘it the rate they are going on.”
