COUNCIL OF AUTHORITIES. (Received June 17 at 10 p.m.) (Sun Cable.) LONDON, June 16. A conference on the English language, under the auspices of the Society of Literature, has been attended by noted Anglo-American litterateurs and orthographists. The cor. ’?rence decided, on .the motion of Lord Balfour, to organise fan International Council of 100 of the best authorities in English-speaking countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
