TO-NIGHT — A'AUDEVILLE AND PICTURES. “THE KENTUCKY FOUR.” The management of the Opera House announce with pleasure that they will present to-night (AVodncsday) a special A’audcvillo and Pictures Programme The vaudeville part of the programme will be presented by the celebrated Kentucky Four Company, which includes Aliss Beatrice Inglewood, mezzo soprano; Huntly Spencer, tenor; Th elmo Martin, pianoforte soloist* and Mr Phil Yates, comedian, who will present a nicely balanced programme of old airs, classical numbers and humorous items, in conjunction with special Picture Programme headed by Richard Barthelmess’s latest, entitled “Just Suppose. ’ ’

Tn “Just Suppose” Richard Bartholmess plays the part of a dashing young Prince who visits America and, of course, moves in the most select social circles. Tn filming this picture, every effort was made to secure an absolutely authentic atmosphere both in the settings and in the types of players used in the supporting roles. Lois Aloran has the leading feminine role in support of Barthelmess. Others in the cast include Geoffrey Kerr, Henry Viburt, Harry Short, Bijou Fernandez and Prince Rokneddinc, who will make his initial bow in this photoplay. BOWLING CLUB’S CONCERT. The Runanga Bowling Club arc to be commended for the energy that they have displayed since the inception of their Bowling Club. The members, to do as they have done, are making a real beauty spot of the green and its surroundings, the cost of such a work is a heavy drain. To assist the club carry on its good work, a Grand Variety Concert has been organised, and will be staged in the Afiners’ Hall on AVednesday night, June 15. The programme is of the best, besides having the best lo ’ cal talent, a number of friends from .Groymouth will render musical items, songs, recitations and humorous items Now Runanga, this is your chance to show your appreciation to those people who arc trying to make your town beautiful. Remember, AVednesday, Juno 15th. CONCERT AND DANCE. A grand concert and dance will be held in the Public Hall, AVallsend, Friday, June 24th., under the auspices of the Brunner League Football Club. Proceeds for players insurance fund. The concert which will be rendered by the Grey Al unici pal Band is worthy by an audience which the hall is capable of holding, so roll up one and all and help to support the players of sport.
