RUNANGA NOTES.
(Our Own Correspondent.) Alaster Wallace Kroening, who has been an inmate of the Grey River Hospital, returned home on Wednesday. Air. and Mrs D. O'Neill, who intend spending a holiday in Nelson, loft by car on Sunday morning. In, the Druids’ Hall on Wednesday the members of St. Thomas’s Church held a social evening to welcome the new Vicar and his wife, the Rev. and Airs Bell. A large crowd were present, including visitors from Greymouth and Cobden. During the evening songs and musical items were rendered. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies. This evening at the Aliners’ Hall a concert in aid of the Plunket Society will be held. The first part of the programme will comprise items from the children, and the second will include some of our noted local talent. The Gymnastic Club held a meeting on Wednesday evening, and it was decided to hold a dance in the Gymnasium on Friday evening. Everything has been arranged for an enjoyable evening first, class floor and excellent music.
