MUNICIPAL BATHS.

VOTE OF £5OO. By Borough Council. Cr .1. W. Greenslade. Chairman of the Finance Committee, reported at the meeting of the Borough Council last night that the Committee had decided to recommend that the sum of £250 be granted to the Municipal Swimming Baths Committee, and that an additional £250 be voted early next year. A deputation from the Baths Committee had waited upon the Council, and had stated that £2,200 had been raised, ami that another £750 was needed to complete the work. A very fine job had been made of the baths, which would be a credit to the town. Ale labors of the Committee had expressed appreciation of the good work done by the Baths Committee in what had been one of the largest voluntary efforts in the history of the Borough. The Mayor added his congratulations to those of the Finance Committee. The recommendation was adopted.
