SEVERE REPRESSION IN TURKEY. LONDON, January 11. The “Timos” Constantinople correspondent states that during the last 21 months, the AVestern Tribunal of Independence sitting at Angora, dealt with 340 cases, involving 2351 persons, of whom 948 were convicted, 204 being hanged and 635 imprisoned for terms varying from one to thirty years. The principal charges were brigandage, plotting a revolution, treason and spying. The figures of the Eastern Tribunal have not been published, but it is believed that they r heavier than those of the Western. MEXICAN BAN ON RELIGION. AfEXICO CITY, January 11. According to special despatches, £1 were killed and ten wounded in a clash between the Catholics and municipal authorities at the town of Cocula, in the State of Jfcilisco.
