ENTERS PAPER CONTROVERSY. LONDON, January 11. Al. Spahlinger has entered the ron troversy with a letter in the “Daily •Express” from Geneva, in which lie says: “I have given up my life I<> th > work, ami the lives of others dear tu .me are similarly devoted, if my achieve ments are to be so easily discredited. 1 should l)e glad to burn my secret, and return to the Bar. for whi h 1 am .fully qualified, ami lead f->r the first time in fifteen years a life owning an ordinary man’s share of sumhiiie.” The “Daily Express” e liloriully re fers to the statement as a threat, add | ing: “If Al. Spahlinger has discovered a method of defeating the then, however tired ami it is both his duty and his privilege t< give it to the world.”
