An excellent musical programme was rendered by Misses Hutton, Bolitho (2), Watt, Warren, ■ Watson, Osborne, and Gothard. The accompanists were Mesdames Watson, McHenry, and Chamberlain. Afternoon tea, and a competition also added to the afternoon's pleasure. The Rev. Air Bloyce, thanked all present ami announced the date of the garden party to be February 16th. Information has been received of tke death at Denniston of Airs A. B. Perkins. sister of Air P. J. Sullivan, of the Empire Hotel. Air Sullivan left by the Westport car for Denniston on Tuesday morning. Air A. 11. Lawn, of Hokitika, is a visitor to Reofton. He left for the Afaruia Springs on Tuesday morning. Air L. S. Humphrey, of Greymouth, hag been successful in passing his written plumber’s examination. The Wealth of Nations’ return during the five, weeks ended November 4 is as follows: The battery crushed 414 tons, for a return by amalgamation only of £lOO2/12/2, equal to 48/4.23 per ton. Crushing was stopped owing to - damage to the water race by heavy ■ rains, and not resumed until midnight on Al on day, November 8. Up to December 3, a further 377 tons hud been crushed, but no clean up will take place until just before Christmas.
