BENEFIT TO PUBLIC!. "What is the reason for altering .your shop front and windows? was a, question our reporter put to MrRobertson 9 of the Fruit Mart, Mackay Street, recently and the answer was as surprising a s it was unexpected. “To save the public good money! We require to display qs much as possible, our stock and so enable a comparison to be made of the price and quality. ” “But why the special display?” persisted our reporter. “Well, we do not hawk from door to door, we do not employ motor trucks to take goods to the country districts, so w e have to invite the public into the shop, and this is where the saving is made apparent.” ■•Tile difference in prices is due to one maiin factor, the saving in the haulage and carting, this saving goes back to the public by purchasing fruit and vegetables from us. Of course we deliver free to the rail and in Greymouth daily. And do not forget this point—By concentrating all our energies and thoughts on the shop we are enabled to “specialise.” Our business is a BUSINESS, not a side line and specialisation is an asset from which the public, derives as much profit as we do ourselves.” —29.
