The Spring Meeting or the Poverty Bay Turf Club opened to-day, the weather being fine in the initial stages, but, during the afternoon occasional light rain fell. C. Stratton, the rider of Polar, appeared before the Stewards, and for the infringement of rules he was suspended from riding for one month.
