SCOTLAND’S SMALL SCORE. AGAIN ST AUSTRALIA. LONDON, July 21. For the match, Australia v. {Scotland at Edinburgh, the weather was brigii. but blustery. Kain fell overnight. AUSTRALIA—Ist Innings. jßardsley, b Anderson <1 Wovdfull, not out 13 Gregory, not out 3/ t - Extras ' Total for 1 wicket2ob Grimmett was in excellent form, and most of his wickets were gained by trapping the batsmen in jumping for ward to drive, so that they werc either bowled or were stumped by Oldfield, who kept magnificently, ue stumped three and caught two. He did most of the fielding, the remainder of the team being little called on. Weir gave a bright exhibition, hitting Grimmett freely. He went out m attempting to pull a short Kall giving .Ponsford his first wicket, the break beating the bat. Bardsley and Woodfull after a slew opening did not hesitate to go forward and scored freely, mostly singles. After tea, practically every ball yielded a score. Bardsley when the first wicket had put on 143, succumbed to a ball from Anderson, which he attempted to glance to leg, but pulled on to the wicket. Gregory imparted liveliness to the game, hitting out powerfully. Woodfull was safe and indulged in crisp •drives. Fourth Test. COLLINS TO BE AN ABSENTEE LONDON, July 21 Collins will not play in the fourth test match, n<> r will h e attend the match, on the advice of his doctor who fears that the worry resulting therefrom might retard his complete recovery.
