♦ Our Own Correspondent.) At the farewell social and danee tendered by the residents of Barrytown to Messrs N. Mouatt and J. Wright prior to their departure for England with the N.Z. Rugby League football team those present included Mesdanies Wafer, green velvet; Sangster, jazz morocain; Heveldt, blue crepe de chine; Ryall, brown moroeain; Dunn, blue satin; Kennedy, mole moroeain; Hanrahan, apricot georgette; Nisbet, blue taffeta: D. Hawkins, bottle green velvet; A. Ainsworth, navy taffeta; D. Clarke, black velvet; J. Aiderton, mauve taffeta; R. Ruggan, helio georg* ette; E. Greig, apricot crepe de chine; J. Ryad, cinnamon moroeain; S. Greig, jade crepe de chine; M. Tracey, black velvet; E. Milligan, lavender crejw do chine; E. Ryall, pink brocaded silk; A. Milligan, jade velvet; A. McDowell, cherry velvet; M. Wafer, tangerine silk; M. Ryall, apricot silk; C. Bourke white satin; K. Bourke, rose brocaded silk; E. Prendergast, lavender georgtte; J- Dunn, golden brown velvet; M. Ryall, black georgette.. Amongst the gentlemen present were Messrs Mouatt, Wright, Jackson (2), Brown, Henderson, Griffiths (2), Costello, Morrisey (2), O’Brien, O’Loughlan, Stevens, Kennedy, Robson, Naisbet, Hanrahan, Naisbet, Dunn, Bourke (2), Regaldo, O’Neil, Nelson, Richards, Lawrence, Milligan, McLogan, Ryall (6), Johnston, Parker, Langridge, Qnartennan, Wylde, Garvey, Currie, Baddley, Jones, Pinn Stuart, Treacey, Dennehy (2), Sangster, Kennedy, Hifferman, Wafer, Groom and Cargill. The hall was tastefully decorated with evergreens nnd streamers Mr .1. Byall after a neat speech, asked Mr Mouatt to accept a well-filled wallet, and Mr Wright a Smoker’s Companion. Messrs Mouatt and Wright suitably responded. Mr F. Costello replied on behalf of the Marist Club, and Mr Milligan on behalf of the West Coast. League Centre. The floor was in charge of Mr R. Nelson, who made an efficient M.C. The music was supplied by Miss Ainsworth and extras were ,Javed by Misses D. Clarke and E. Milligan and Mr O’Loughan. Songs were rendered by Messrs Baddley and Jackson. The dancing was kept going until the early hours of the morning, when all went home after a g»o< Light’s enjoyment.
