BY RUINS OF CITY. NEW YORK, July 20. Melvin Kyle, President of the Theological Seminary, St. Louis, who has returned from an inspection of the ruins of the Biblical city of Kurjathsepper founded by the. Canaanites 2000 years 8.C., says that the Old Testament story has been fully corroborated by the recent excavations. The successive ages of the city, mentioned in Joshua, were traced by layers of ashes, proving that it had been buried five times. The dates were also verified by examination of the kitchen utensils and wellstones. . . : jI.S
