ROSS RAILWAY.
QUESTION OF EXTENSION. (Special to “Argus”.) WELLINGTON, July 21. In reply to Mr T. E. Y. Seddon, the Minister of Public Works stated to-day that the matter of a vote for an extension of the railway south of Ross to the point already authorised by Parliament will receive consideration the Public Works Estimates are under' review. | y WAIHO BRIDGE. THE DELAY- IN COMPLETION. (Special to “Argus.”) WELLINGTON, July 21. In the House this afternoon, Hon. K. S. Williams (Minister of Public Works) stated that the bridge over the Waiho River, South Westland, is expected to be completed in February next, given reasonable weather conditions. Considerable difficulty has been experienced in connection with this work, owing to unfavourable weather, so that an earlier date than that given for completion cannot reasonably be quoted.
