SHOPS’ HALF-HOLIDAY.
NO ALTERATIONS. (Special to “Argus”). WELLINGTON, July 20. The fear has been expressed on oc casions, that the Government contemplated a certain move regarding the half-holiday for shops. To-day the Hon Mr Anderson (Afinister of Labour) stated there was no intention whatever of altering the present system of deciding about the half holiday. There would be some amendments to the •Shops and Offices Bill this session, and the Hon. Gentleman would sec those proposals when the Bill came down, but he could assure them that there was no intention of making any alterations in regard to the half holiday.
