(Our Own Correspondent). Alessrs Gouslay, Jim Kerr, L. Neilson and A. Meadowrrott, nu-mners of the Blackball Band, are at present on holiday at Dunedin.

Mr A. Aloore and Aliss E. Aloore, natives of Blackball, have left 4.01 '\Vhangjarei, via Nelson and Wi'lhngion, ami intend to reside there in fuiurc. Both won' popular members oi tm eoinmnnity, and will be much missed b\ their manv friends.

A very popular Blackball couple, in Mr Dave AlcGregor, and Aliss Eniilx Hill, tripped quietly away to Grey mouth and got married, and are now honeymooning at Dunedin. All Ilieii Blackball friends wish them the best oi luck.

Air Jas. Meikle, a coal n iner 01 Blackball, had ft he misfortune to have his ankle broken as tue result of a slight fall of coal in No 3 level face. This is the second time within a feu months that Air Meikle has been in capacitated in this manner, and h must be classed as distinctly unfortunate:

A well-attended debate on the five days coal producing policv took pl nn in Blackball on Saturday night last. AlA. AlcLagan (leader) put up a fine case for the boss, but had his main points torpedoed by his opponents, led by Air Jl'fff I V.
