In the second test “Border Sungs.” one band had playet exceptionally well, and its performance indeed had’been a trifle bettor than that of the winners: but must unfortunately, the intonations uf the bund had been bad. Homo of the bands ha< lost the spirit of the selection, and had expressed just a little too much senti- • merit, which had become sickly. The Groymouth Municipal Band (conductor. Air A.
