TORY MOVE A I“\ILURE. SYDNEY, February 11. There were heated scenes in the N.S.W. Assembly when Mr. Bevu' (Opposition) sought to force a- (Lmusbion on the censure motion on the G<> veinmont. The Minister refused to discuss the matter, and the motion that +■)»<• matter be treated as urgent was thf-’ defeated by 43 votes fo 33. MR HOLLAND PRESENT. SYDNEY, Feb. 11. Mr Harry Holland, Leader ut the Labour Opposition in the New Zealand Parliament, was an interested spectator at the N.S.W. Assembly to-day which commenued a debate on the Parliamentary Elections ami File Ho rates Bill, which is practically a replica of that previously passed and amended by the t’pper House. The debate was marked by violent scenes in which Mr Murphy (a member of the Governient) was accused of violating a j>air. At one stage a free fight seemed imminent, but the proceedings later quietened. LATER. The bush fires in the Murraguldrie pine forest in the Wagga district have caused between forty thousand and fifty thousand sterling damage, and have c.ompk’tely <lisorganised the big- State forestry scheme, throwing its development back five years.
